In May 2003, Andrew Swartzbaugh <raswartzbaugh@yahoo.com> announced:

Since then I have looked at Andrew's site many times. I recommend it to anyone who is curious about, or who wants to experiment with, the Minix boot monitor and supporting code.

It also should be noted that, although this work was completed before Minix 3 was announced, the basics of booting Minix have not changed much with Minix 3. The information here will be useful whether you are working with Minix 2 or Minix 3.
