The /pub/packages directory is for more-or-less standard software
packages obtained from other ftp sites.  These will not usually contain
locally contributed modifications.

Packages in the /pub/packages/1.5 directory were originally developed for
Minix 1.5 (or earlier) and probably will not work with Minix 2.0.  The
are here because I want to make them available and I hope someone will
updated them.

/pub/packages/2.0 contains packages believed to be usable with Minix 2.0.
