perl 5 ported to Minix -- work in progress, "mostly functional" from Steven Young 30 April 1998 Perl 5 for Minix This is a work in progress from dreamer (Steven Young ). He says: This is a strange port of perl to Minix. Out of the box, the binary is chmemed to a very large value, for that is what perl likes. Don't even bother with this unless you have 8MB of ram. Perl is mostly functional in the tar given, but it doesn't support any of the extensions (like SDBM, etc..).. but it's still entirely usable. Perl should be untarred in /usr/local, this will create /usr/local/perl. Manpages are not included with this distribution - they seem to disagree with (at least my version of) man for Minix. They're also very large. (rev. 2002-12-02)
