MinixEMU, to run Minix binaries

modified: 05 Jan 2003

Minixemu

I found references to something called MinixEMU at the Minix on the
Net site at http://arsenio.disi.unige.it/~minix/MOTN/index.htm. The
description is:

MinixEMU is a Minix binary emulator for unix systems with vm86 support.
It runs minix binaries in a virtual 8086 emulation.

The link points to http://shadow.cabi.net/minixemu.html. But, this
link does not seem to work (tested 5 Jan 2003).

In addition to the links that don't work at
http://arsenio.disi.unige.it/~minix/MOTN/index.htm a Google search for
minixemu found only this page:
http://www.caldera.com/soss/updates/info/contents.html.

The heading of the page is "Supplemental Open Source Software Updates".
The relevant info, some distance down the page, is:

Name: abi-tools Version: 0.3 Download RPM
Release: 1col Size: 59728
Summary: Tools for binary emulation
Description: Contains some tools that support Linux-ABI:
	elfmark
	mkmnttab
	minixemu

The [Download RPM] link points to:
