Minix Course Sites

5 July 2003

Message posted to comp.os.minix and minix-l 2003--01-19:
In searching the web for references to Minix I have occasionally come upon
references to websites which have been created to support teaching
university level operating systems courses. Two that I can think of are
Bradley Kuszmaul's site (http://arch.cs.yale.edu/~bradley/cs422b-1997/)
which has a lot of information on using Minix on the Bochs emulator, and
Venkata Mahadevan's pages (http://www.cs.uno.edu/~venkata/www/index.htm)
with a lot of information on a course project to port Minix to a handheld
computer.

I have been revising my Minix Hints/FAQ page and I realized that a listing
of such pages might be helpful, both to those planning such a course and
to other users looking for help with Minix.

I would appreciate receiving e-mail from anyone who has created such a
site or who can recommend such a site. When I have created such a page I
will send a reference to the page back to all who assist me in this.
