Subject: Minix 2.0.3 on Bochs on Mac OS
Yesterday I downloaded the current Bochs 2.0.2 i386 emulator for Mac OS
and after just a little bit of fussing around found it was quite easy to
get Minix 2.0.3 running on it.
I've never really been a Mac person, I only recently purchased a Mac (a
used 333 Mhz iMac with Mac OS 8.6 installed). I want to become more
familiar with Macs in general, and I'd also like to see Minix usable on
Macs.
I would very much like to hear from anyone else who has experimented with
Minix on Bochs on a MacIntosh. Of particular interest to me would be
information about how to import and export data to and from Minix. The
iMac has a built in ethernet interface, but the current Mac binary
distribution of the Bochs emulator does not have ethernet support
compiled. My iMac also has a built-in modem and a USB port, for which I
have a Zip drive, but no floppy drive. A way to read and write files to
the iMac hard disk would also be useful.
